Ingredients for the marinade:
Seer fish slices(any fish)-4
Chilly powder-4 tsp
Bengal gram flour(besan)-2 tsp
Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-to taste
Other ingredients:
Chiroti rawa(fine semolina)-5 tsp
Coconut oil-to deep fry
Method:
- Wash the sliced fish pieces thoroughly.
- Marinate the fish with all the ingredients under marinade for 1 hour.
- Heat oil and pat the marinated fish in chiroti rawa on both the sides and deep fry.
- Serve it hot with onion rings.
Tips:
You can use any fish for this preparation like pomfret,prawns, mackerel,silver fish etc.
You can also prepare rawa fry with vegetables like babycorn,potato etc.
